Karimnagar: Noisy scenes were witnessed at Huzurabad TGSRTC depot when the police attempted to bring buses out of the depot and operate them on different routes.

In the wake of TGSRTC employees’ strike, all the buses in Huzurabad have been confined to the depot since morning. In order to operate buses for the convenience of passengers, police tried to bring buses out of the depot. One of the vehicles was brought out amid opposition from agitating workers.

Enraged over the incident, agitating employees entered into an argument with police and staged a protest by sitting in front of the depot gate and raising slogans against the state government.

Besides solving other demands, TGSRTC should be merged with the government immediately, they demanded.

On the other hand, authorities brought out buses from depots with police protection in Sircilla and Peddapalli. Hired and JBM buses are being operated on main routes in 11 depots of the erstwhile Karimnagar district.
