Siddipet: Dubbak MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, who visited the market yard in Dubbak on Saturday, said that not a single grain was taken to rice mills from Dubbak market yard so far though the market spread in 10 acres filled with the paddy harvest of the farmers.

As the rain lashed Dubbak on Friday, the MLA visited the market to examine the wet paddy and also to understand the struggles of farmers.

Speaking on the occasion, Reddy said that the BRS government used to be well-prepared for the paddy procurement. However, he said the procurement has not commenced at any place in his Constituency.

The BRS MLA said the Congress government failed to allot rice mills for the procurement centres, causing the delay.

While the farmers were struggling, Reddy said that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was confined to criticising the Opposition parties and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao just for political gain.

Accusing the Congress of failing to keep election promises, the Dubbak MLA said that the government failed to complete the loan waiver and release Rythu Bharosa fund to farmers.

Many farmers had expressed their struggles to the MLA. He spoke to the officials and demanded them to start the procurement immediately.
