Notorious goon arrested in Adilabad, jailed under PD Act
A notorious criminal, Shaik Saleem alias Kainchi Saleem from Bangariguda, was arrested in Adilabad on Friday for terrorising the public and involvement in kidnapping. According to Adilabad DSP L Jeevan Reddy, a Preventive Detention (PD) Act case was filed against him.
Adilabad: A notorious goon was arrested for allegedly terrorising the public and kidnapping here on Friday.
Adilabad DSP L Jeevan Reddy, in a statement, said that Shaik Saleem alias Kainchi Saleem from Bangariguda was apprehended and sent to a central prison at Chanchalguda in Hyderabad. A Preventive Detention (PD) Act case was registered against Saleem, while eight cases were registered against him at Mavala and Adilabad I town police stations.
Police said that Saleem was booked for terrorising the public by brandishing knives. A case was registered against him for abducting an auto-rickshaw driver and thrashing him. None would be spared if they indulged in anti-lawful activities, the DSP said.
