NTR remembered on 29th death anniversary

Reflecting on the contributions of former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao, Andhra Pradesh's N Chandrababu Naidu described him as a remarkable humanitarian who dedicated himself to the welfare and development of marginalized communities. He emphasized that NT Rama Rao not only ensured top administrative positions for underprivileged groups but also actively worked towards empowering women.

Hyderabad: Cutting across party lines, leaders, actors and eminent personalities from different fields, paid tributes to former Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh and legendary actor, the late NT Rama Rao on his 29th death anniversary on Saturday.

Recalling the services rendered by the former Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu said NT Rama Rao was a great humanitarian, who strived for the welfare and development of weaker sections. He also provided top positions for the weaker sections in administration and strived for women empowerment, the Chief Minister said.


“NT Rama Rao always stressed that power was an opportunity to usher in a change in the lives of the poor. Let us all strive to achieve the aspirations of NT Rama Rao,” Chandrababu Naidu said on X.

Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh arrived in Hyderabad to pay tributes to NT Rama Rao at NTR Ghat.

Earlier, Tollywood actor Junior NTR accompanied by his brother Kalyan Ram offered floral tributes at NTR Ghat.

Hindupur MLA and NT Rama Rao’s son and actor N Balakrishna will also offer tributes at NTR Ghat, followed by garlanding the statue of the legendary actor at Rasoolpura.

At NTR Bhavan, a mega blood donation drive is being organized by NTR Memorial Trust. This apart, a mega health camp is also being organized at the venue.
