NTV journalists granted conditional bail in Hyderabad

Two journalists of NTV news channel were granted conditional bail, after their arrest by the Special Investigation Team in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The 14th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) has granted conditional bail to two journalists of Telugu news channel NTV here. The two journalists D Ramesh and Sudheer were produced before the magistrate at her residence in the early hours of Thursday.

The two journalists were arrested by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in connection with an alleged news report, following complaint by the IAS Officers Association.


The advocate representing the journalists told newsmen that the magistrate had granted bail to the journalists with the conditions of providing Rs 20,000 each for the sureties and surrender of their passports. The journalists were also ordered not to leave the Hyderabad city without court permission.
