Observers appointed for ULB elections
Christina Z Chongthu, Commissioner, Tribal Welfare Department, has been appointed general observer for Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation
Hyderabad: The State Election Commission has appointed six general observers and seven expenditure observers for the elections to seven urban local bodies (ULBs).
These officials will oversee the election process in the respective ULB allotted to them. The District Collector, who is also District Election Authority, will provide required backup support to them.
Christina Z Chongthu, Commissioner, Tribal Welfare Department, has been appointed general observer for Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation; Ahmad Nadeem, Secretary to Government, Minority Welfare Department- Khammam Municipal Corporation; G Kishan, Commissioner, State Gazetteers, for Achampet Municipality; TK Sreedevi, Special Secretary, Finance Department, for Siddipet Municipality; Vakati Karuna, Commissioner, PH and FW, for Nakrekal Municipality; and E Sridhar, Special Secretary, Tribal Welfare Department, for Jadcherla and Kothur municipalities.
Meanwhile, the SEC said candidates do not have to produce No-Due certificates while submitting nominations. It warned Returning Officers against insisting on the same.
