Hyderabad: One person was injured when a car went out of control and fell into a pit dug up for laying the basement of a building in Petbasheerabad on Saturday afternoon.
The driver of the car, identified as Vishal, who was proceeding alone from Jagadgirigutta towards Suchitra, lost control of the steering wheel and crashed into the railing erected around the construction site.
“The vehicle, which was driven at high speed, crashed through the railing and fell into the basement pit. The driver escaped with minor injuries. The construction workers at the site who noticed him, rushed to his rescue and shifted him to the hospital,” said an official.
The Petbasheerabad police booked a case of negligent driving and are investigating.
