Hyderabad: An elderly woman was injured after a refrigerator compressor exploded, reportedly triggered by a short circuit, at her house in Venkat rao Nagar in Kukatpally on Thursday midnight.
Due to the impact, the door, windows and furniture of the house were damaged, triggering panic in the area. The victim was immediately shifted to a nearby private hospital, where her condition was said to be stable.
In another incident, a fire broke out in a house at Sriram Nagar Colony in Jawaharnagar. None were hurt in the incident. A short circuit is suspected to have led to the fire. The alert residents rushed out of the house to safety.
