One killed, 17 injured as tractor turns turtle in Suryapet
The incident took place when the labourers were returning home at Sitaram Nagar in Huzurnagar after completion of paddy transplantation work at Sitarampuram
Suryapet: A man was killed and 17 other persons were injured when the tractor in which they were traveling turned turtle near Sitarampuram of Chilukur mandal in Suryapet district on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Prameela (42). The incident took place when the labourers were returning home at Sitaram Nagar in Huzurnagar after completion of paddy transplantation work at Sitarampuram. The woman died on the spot.
On receiving information about the incident, police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Area Hospital at Huzurnagar for treatment. Overspeeding is suspected to be the cause of the accident.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and Nalgonda MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy called up Collector Vinay Krishna Reddy and requested him to instruct the officials to ensure that the injured labourers get good treatment in the hospital. He also asked the local Congress workers to extend all help to the families of injured labourers.
Two killed in separate accidents
Khammam: Two persons died and five others were injured in separate road accidents in erstwhile Khammam district on Sunday.
In an incident at Boring Thanda in Tekulapalli mandal, a two-wheeler rider died on the spot when the motorbike he was riding was hit by a speeding car. The deceased was identified as Vijay Kumar (34) of Yellandu.
In another incident, Balaraju, a driver, died and four persons were injured seriously when an RTC bus hit the car at Vinoba Nagar in Julurpad mandal in the district.
A motorcycle rider Nakka Rama Rao was injured when a truck hit his bike at Konijerla mandal headquarters in Khammam district. Police shifted him to the District Hospital in Khammam for treatment.
VRA dies in road accident
Kamareddy: A 28-year-old VRA (Village Revenue Assistant) died in a road accident when the bike he was riding hit a parked truck at Palvancha Marri village of Machareddy mandal in Kamareddy district on Sunday.
The incident happened when the deceased Rajashekhar, VRA and his friend Pramod were going to Kamareddy from Machareddy. Rajshekhar died on the spot and Pramod, who received severe injuries, was shifted to Hyderabad for better treatment.
