One-year-old child dies after falling into a soak pit in Khammam
A one-year-old girl, Moksha Durga, died after falling into an uncovered soak pit at her home in Satyampet village, Sathupally mandal. The incident shocked the community. MLA Matta Ragamayee visited the grieving parents and offered condolences
Khammam: A one-year-old child died after she accidentally fell into a soak pit in the house at Satyampet village of Sathupally mandal in the district on Wednesday.
The child, Moksha Durga, was said to have been playing on the house premises and fell into the uncovered soak pit. Her parents searched for the child after some time and found her dead. The incident caused a pall of gloom descended on the village, which mourned her death.
Sathupally MLA Matta Ragamayee visited the village and extended condolences to the child’s parents Soyam Shiva and Sandhya Rani, for whom Durga was the second child.
