Op Kavach conducted in old city of Hyderabad, vehicles seized
Hyderabad police conducted an Operation Kavach near Puranapul area of the old city in Hyderabad to check movement of anti-social elements

Hyderabad:The Hyderabad police on Wednesday night conducted ‘Operation Kavach’, in the old city and seized several vehicles.
The operation was conducted at Puranapul and was aimed at disarming unsocial elements, seizing illegal articles and vehicles moving around without registration number plate.
The police also checked illegal belt shop located at Puranapul and seized liquor bottles from the place.
DCP (South) Kiran Khare said the operation was conducted to instill confidence in people and check movement of unsocial elements late in the night on roads and prevent crime.
“In night under the influence of drugs young men are moving around and attacking people with weapons over small issues. Our aim is to prevent it by taking proactive measures,” said DCP Kiran Khare.
