Warangal Urban: The Chairperson of the Child Welfare Committee, combined Warangal district, Mandala Parashuramulu said that he would see that an Anganwadi centre would be set up at Ramgopalapuram (Markondaiya Nagar slum) in Rangshaipet village under Khilla Warangal mandal on Monday.
“I will also see that the children with mentally challenged be taken to a psychiatric centre and if there were any out-of-school children, they would be sent to a government-run residential school,” he said.
An open house event was organized by Childline 1098, Warangal Urban, at Ramgopalapuram on Monday.
Addressing the local residents, he said that educating your children should be recognized in society if they have an education and asked them not to do child marriages for children and not to turn them into child labourers
Warangal Urban District Nodal Coordinator Iqbal Pasha said that the open house program was very useful for the children. The participants were explained about child rights, issues related to child labour, child marriages and issues.
ICDS Supervisor Revathi, Anganwadi worker Naga Lakshmi, Village elder Orsu Raju, Childline representatives Sirisha, Godadevi and others attended the event.
