Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has on Monday said the Telangana government would announce its stance on Operation Kagar after the party high command’s decision on the issue.
“There should be a debate on Operation Kagar at the national level. Our Ministers’ opinion will also be sought and a decision will be taken accordingly,” he said during an informal chit chat with media persons here on Monday. The Chief Minister had visited former Minister K Jana Reddy’s residence and sought his suggestions as well over the issue.
On BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao’s attack on the Congress government for failing to fulfill the promises made to people, the Chief Minister said the State government was implementing several welfare and development programmes.
“No other States can match the Telangana government in implementing such schemes. In the last six months before the next elections, there will be discussion on my governance,” Revanth Reddy said, adding that there was no punch in the BRS chief’s speech at Elkathurthy on Sunday.
All the schemes were launched a year back and they were being streamlined. There was a need to expedite things and the Congress failed in promoting the good work done by the government, he maintained, stressing that as there was no option, a few officers were being continued with.
Claiming that he would be in active politics for the next 20 years, the Chief Minister said everything would be done as per law while referring to the Formula-E case against BRS working president KT Rama Rao and phone tapping case.
“There are demands from different sections for an arrest but I cannot do it. Everything has to be done as per law,” he said.
Over charges of party high command sidelining him, the Chief Minister claimed that he enjoyed a cordial relationship with Rahul Gandhi. “I do not have to prove this to anyone,” he said.
