Hyderabad: As part of Operation Muskan-VII in Rachakonda, the Malkajgiri Zone police rescued three minor boys who were found rag-picking at a garbage dump in Nagole, Uppal here on Thursday afternoon.
Following a tip-off, the She Team along with the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit and District Child Protection Unit officials reached the spot and found the minor boys in their early teens collecting plastic, metal and fibre material from the garbage under unhygienic conditions to sell them to scrap dealers. The three children were counseled and handed over to the Cherish Shelter Home in Uppal for safe custody. They will soon be handed over to their parents, officials said.
