Operations may be impacted at some branches due to Covid: SBI CGM

Hyderabad: The recent surge in Covid – 19 cases have affected many of the SBI frontline staff serving the customers at branches and loan processing cells, despite adequate precautions, according to Om Prakash Mishra, CGM, SBI Hyderabad Circle.
He cautioned that the current state of infection of large numbers of staff may impact the functioning of branches. He emphasized continued adherence to social distancing, use of sanitizers, masks, and thermal scanners.
He requested SBI customers to do their banking transactions through its digital platforms, YONO, and internet banking. He appealed to the customers to visit the branches only in extreme necessity and reduce the risk of infection.
To minimize inconvenience to customers, SBI Hyderabad Circle has set up a temporary helpline number 040-23466233, operational during business hours for customers to check the status of branch functioning and to enquire about any alternate branch arrangements, if available, the release said.
