Opposition leader S Madhusudhana Chary condemned MLC Chinthapandu Naveen’s remarks against BRS MLC K Kavitha, calling them unacceptable. He urged Naveen to apologise and stressed that public representatives must speak about women with dignity, restraint, and sensitivity
Hyderabad: Opposition leader in the Council S Madhusudhana Chary condemned the inappropriate and derogatory comments made by MLC Chinthapandu Naveen against BRS MLC K Kavitha.
Terming the comments as offensive and unacceptable, he demanded that Naveen tender his unconditional apology to Kavitha immediately.
In a statement, Madhusudhana Chary said respecting women was integral to Indian culture, and making such personally damaging comments denigrating women is unacceptable in politics.
“It is inappropriate for public representatives in responsible positions to use language that demeans women. When speaking about women in politics or criticising them, one must do it with sensitivity and respect, maintaining some restraint,” he asserted.
