Opposition leaders join BRS ahead of municipal polls in Sangareddy
Several opposition leaders from municipalities in the erstwhile Medak district joined the BRS ahead of the municipal elections. Former Minister T Harish Rao accused the Congress government of neglecting civic bodies and urged party workers to ensure victory in the polls.

Sangareddy: Several leaders from opposition parties in municipalities of the erstwhile Medak district joined the BRS ahead of the municipal elections, boosting the party’s prospects.
Former Minister T Harish Rao welcomed them into the party by handing over BRS scarves. Lad Balu Yadav, Shekhar, Pandu and their followers from Sangareddy municipality joined the BRS ahead of the polls. Raju, Shekhar, Dasarath and their followers from Narsapur municipality also joined the party, while former MPPs of Patancheru, Srisailam Yadav, Pandu and Venkat Reddy, along with their followers from Isnapur municipality, switched loyalties to the BRS. Kumar and his followers from Gummadidala also joined the party.
Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said the Congress government had completely ignored the development of civic bodies over the past few years. Accusing Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of acting against the interests of the people, he said the public was fed up with the Congress as many promises remained unfulfilled even more than two years after it came to power. He called upon the newly joined leaders to work collectively to ensure the victory of the BRS in the forthcoming municipal elections.
Sangareddy MLA Chintha Prabhakar, Narsapur MLA V Sunitha Lakshma Reddy, Patancheru constituency convenor V Adarsh Reddy and others were present.
