Organs of brain-dead Jangaon RMP save three lives

A 24-year-old RMP doctor from Jangaon, declared brain dead after a road accident in Hyderabad, had his organs donated by his family under the Jeevandan initiative, saving three lives.

Hyderabad: The family members of 24-year-old Kanneboina Praveen, a resident of Ganugupahad, Jangaon, who was declared brain dead by doctors, have donated his organs to needy patients under the State-run Jeevandan organ donation initiative.

On August 27, Praveen, a RMP (Registered Medical Practitioner) doctor by profession, was travelling home on his two-wheeler when a wild boar suddenly crossed the road and collided with his vehicle, causing him to lose control and sustain a severe head injury. He was shifted to a private hospital in Hyderabad where he received ICU treatment.

With his health not improving, the doctors declared him as brain dead on August 29. The father of the young RMP, Anjaiah made the heartfelt decision to donate his kidneys and liver, helping three patients in need.

Jeevandan Telangana has extended its gratitude to the family members of Kanneboina Praveen for taking the noble decision of donating his organs to needy patients.
