A 56-year-old social worker from Warangal, EV Satish Kumar, was declared brain dead following an intracranial bleed. His family consented to donate his liver and lungs under the State-run Jeevandan programme, helping save multiple lives.
The attending surgeons from the private hospital retrieved liver (01), kidneys (02) and corneas (02), a total of 5 organs, which were allocated to five needy patients based on organ donation guidelines
