Hyderabad: Relatives of two brain-dead persons, a 63-year-old housewife Burela Seethamma from Guntur and a 56-year-old Namala Sahadev, a driver from Bowrampet, Medchal-Malkajgiri district, have donated their organs to needy patients.

On July 12, due to a sudden increase in blood pressure, Burela Seethamma collapsed at her home and was shifted to a private hospital in Hyderabad. Following emergency treatment, the doctors declared her brain dead on July 16. Her son Mani Chandra made the heartfelt decision to donate her kidneys, liver, and corneas, thus helping five patients in need.

On July 3, Namala Sahadev, a driver suffered an acute cerebrovascular accident (CVA) with hemorrhagic stroke at home due to uncontrolled hypertension and was taken to a private hospital. Despite ICU care, his health condition did not improve and he was declared brain dead on July 16. His wife Namala Laxmi gave her consent to donate his kidney and liver for two needy patients.

Jeevandan Telangana extended its gratitude to the family members of Burela Seethamma and Namala Sahadev for the noble decision to donate their organs, which gave a new lease of life to seven patients.
