Hyderabad: After a gap of nearly one week, inflows to the twin reservoirs of Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar have reduced resulting in the opening of only three flood gates.
After HMWSSB officials noticed a slowdown in inflows from upstream areas with heavy rains stopping, they operated two flood gates of Osman Sagar and one flood gate of Himayat Sagar.
This adjustment is part of the management strategy to regulate water levels and ensure the stability of the reservoirs. Officials are monitoring the situation closely to respond to any further changes in inflow rates.
