Heavy rains force Osman Sagar, Himayat Sagar gates open; water released into Musi
Heavy rains in upstream areas led to sharp inflows into Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar on Wednesday. HMWSSB officials opened gates of both reservoirs, releasing surplus water into the Musi River while monitoring the situation closely.

Hyderabad: Heavy rains in upstream areas led to heavy inflows into Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar from 9 am onwards on Wednesday.
Officials of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), who are monitoring the inflows, lifted floodgates of the twin reservoirs and are releasing surplus water into Musi River.

Outflow: 339 Cusecs
Gates: 1 Gates opened for 1 foot height
