Osmania University inks pact with German University

Hyderabad: Osmania University (OU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule (OTH) University, Amberg – Weiden, Germany here on Wednesday.
The MoU is related to collaborative research in the form of joint R&D, faculty-student exchange, conduct of joint courses & seminars, and establishment of a new Advanced Global/Regional Satellite System Research Laboratories at OTH University, according to a press release.
OTH University president Prof Dr Andrea Klug and Dr Ing Hans Peter Schmidt, Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Media & Computer Science, OTH University signed the MoU document and sent it to OU. The OTH University team had expressed its willingness to visit the OU and sign the MoU, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic they were unable to travel. Upon receiving the MoU document, OU authorities signed it here on Wednesday.
OU Vice Chancellor Prof D Ravindar said the MoU would help students and faculty of both OU and OTH universities to exchange knowledge and contribute to R&D and innovation.
