Hyderabad: Osmania University left student organisations on Thursday staged a protest demanding the State government cancel the 400 acres of land auction in Kancha Gachibowli and allocate it to the University of Hyderabad.
The student activists, who burnt an effigy of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for his decision on the land at OU NCC gate, demanded the government to protect and preserve the biodiversity in 400 acres, and said else they would be forced to besiege the Chief Minister’s residence.
The left student activists also demanded withdrawal of OU’s March 13 circular, banning protests on the campus. AISF OU secretary Nelli Satya, SFI OU vice president Ajay, AISF student activists Ashwan, Adarsh Yadav, Vijay, Akash, Sandeep, SFI activists Jaswant Raj, Vishnu and among others participated in the protest.
