Hyderabad: Osmania University Vice-Chancellor, Prof D Ravinder, said new interdisciplinary courses were being developed to be introduced in the coming academic year which would facilitate students to pursue courses of their liking.

The new Centres of Excellence – Centre for Indo-Pacific Studies, Human Capital Development Cell and Civil Services Academy were on the anvil, Prof Ravinder said after hoisting the National Flag at University College of Arts and Social Sciences on the occasion of the 73rd Republic Day celebrations here on Wednesday.

These centres would further augment the university’s academic ambience, he said and called upon the teaching and non-teaching community to continue to support the reform initiatives in the university.

He called on the stakeholders of the university to rededicate themselves and uphold the cherished ideals of the Indian constitution – the finest in the world and prepared under the able aegis of Dr BR Ambedkar.
