Hyderabad: Prof Muralidhar Miryala, an alumnus of Department of Physics, Osmania University, has been conferred the Pravasa Bharathi Samman Award in the field of Science and Technology by President Ram Nath Kovind.

Prof Muralidhar is the youngest to be felicitated with this prestigious award at the 16th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas held virtually this year. A professor at Shibaura Institute of Technology in Tokyo, Muralidhar did his MSc (Physics) and PhD from the Department of Physics, OU.


He is a well-known scientist promoting India-Japan bilateral relations with focus on integrating scientific collaborations in corporate mechanisms. In his 24 years of service in Japan, he has been an innovative leader bridging bilateral relations with managerial experience in higher education system, a press release said.
