OU to organise ‘Osmania Taksh’ to mould perceptions about the university

Hyderabad: For the first time, general public, student aspirants, university alumni can gain an insight into the research infrastructure facilities, courses offered, faculty etc., of the Osmania University (OU) during Osmania Taksh – 2022 being organized by the university from March 24 to 26. The event intends to mould perceptions among people about the university.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, OU Vice Chancellor, Prof. D Ravinder said, the three-day event was being organized with the theme Connect & Reconnect to Grow. On the first day of the event, an Open Day would be organized wherein all visitors can go around the various departments, research centres, colleges, and interact with the staff, students and researchers on the nature of activities, research, equipment, courses offered and faculty etc, Prof. Ravinder said.
The alumni meets were also being organized in the respective departments and colleges which would provide an opportunity for alumni to reconnect with the department and have interaction sessions with the current batch of students and faculty, he said.
This part, cultural programmes would be staged in the Tagore Auditorium and the culmination of the festival on the March 26 would see a grand cultural programme in the landscape garden. National Sahitya Academy awardee and MLC Goreti Venkanna has been invited as the chief guest for the cultural programme, he said.
For the convenience of the participants, bus shuttle services were being arranged for commuting within the campus.
