TGRTC retired employees display a banner of demands in Mancherial.
Adilabad: Around 24,000 retired employees of the TGRTC urged both the State and Union governments to address the chair list of demands. Some of them submitted a memorandum to TGRTC’s regional manager here and depot manager in Mancherial, on Friday.
Some of the demands of the employees to the State government included payment of terminal leave encashment within a month following retirement, arrears of dearness allowance, extending gratuity within a month after retirement, medical facility, free travel bus facility to their family members, implementation of 2017 pay revision scale, etc.
The employees demanded the Union government to fix minimum pension as Rs 9,000 per month, to offer higher pension as per judgement of Supreme Court delivered in 2022, to pay out difference in funds recovered from the employees for higher pension till 2014, to delete them from income tax levied against higher pension.
