Nizamabad: TRS cadre in Nizamabad took up a massive plantation drive for one hour from 10 am to 11 am simultaneously at mandal and gram panchayat levels to plant 3.4 lakh saplings.
The drive was taken up in Balkonda constituency by Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy in response to the call given by Rajya Sabha MP J Santosh Kumar to celebrate IT Minister KT Rama Rao’s birthday.
TRS leaders and members participated in the drive in large numbers. Later, Prashanth Reddy also participated in a cake cutting ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, he lauded Rama Rao as a talented and dynamic leader in the country. He said the plantation drive shared the objective of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s idea of Haritha Haram.
