Over 60pc of candidates attend Group III examination in Adilabad
Collectors Rajarshi Shah, Abhilasha Abhinav, Kumar Deepak, and Venkatesh Dothre inspected venues across Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, and Kumram Bheem Asifabad districts, respectively. Superintendents of Police from Adilabad, Nirmal, Kumram Bheem, and the DCP of Mancherial also conducted inspections. They directed officials to provide essential amenities for candidates and ensure the examinations are conducted strictly.

Adilabad: Group III examinations went off peacefully on the first day in erstwhile Adilabad district on Sunday.
Collectors Rajarshi Shah, Abhilasha Abhinav, Kumar Deepak Venkatesh Dothre inspected the venues in Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial and Kumram Bheem Asifabad districts, respectively. Superintendents of Police of Adilabad, Nirmal and Kumram Bheem and DCP of Mancherial district also inspected the venues. They instructed officials to ensure basic amenities for candidates and to strictly conduct the examinations.
A total of 8,246 candidates appeared for examinations, while 6,792 candidates were absent as against the total of 15,038 candidates, reflecting 55 percent of attendance in Mancherial district. As many as 4,690 candidates took the examination when compared to the total of 8,124 candidates in Nirmal, indicating 57.73 percent of attendance.
Meanwhile, 6,612 candidates turned up for the examinations as against the total applicants 10,625 in Adilabad district, posting an attendance percentage of 64.48.
Officials said that 37,888 candidates applied for Group III service, while 119 centres were identified in erstwhile Adilabad district. A total of 29 centres were created in Adilabad district, while Eighteen centres in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district, 38 in Mancherial and 24 venues were identified in Nirmal districts.
