Over 800 drunk driving cases booked in Twin Cities during weekend
Hyderabad and Cyberabad police booked over 860 people during weekend drunk-driving checks. Most violators were two-wheeler riders. Special teams conducted checks across the city, and those booked will have to appear before the court.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad traffic police, during the weekend drunk driving check, caught 460 persons in the city and booked cases against them.
Among those caught are 350 two-wheelers, 25 three-wheelers, 85 four-wheelers and other vehicles. The drive was conducted across the city by special teams who were armed with breath analyser kits.
The traffic police officials said that those who were booked for the violation will have to appear before the court.
Meanwhile, the Cyberabad police caught 407 persons during the drunken driving check on Saturday night. Among those caught are 290 two-wheelers, 18 three-wheelers, 90 four-wheelers and heavy vehicles – 9.
The highest number of persons were caught in Shadnagar and Chevella police stations – 42 each, followed by Shamshabad and Gachibowli – 35 each.
