Hyderabad: To recognise and commemorate the importance of energy conservation, a special assembly on the World Energy Conservation Day was conducted for the children of Pallavi Model School, Boduppal, celebrating this year’s theme of the day “Conserve Energy Save the Future”.
The meticulous planning and brilliant teamwork made the students put up a great show to raise awareness about energy conservation so that the depleting natural resources can be protected for the progeny. The assembly began with the blessings of the almighty through a sloka and was followed by an energy-saving pledge. The students spoke about the significance of energy conservation and the importance of energy conservation for the future. And also presented the importance of energy conservation through a song and a poster.
Principal T Tanuja, Vice Principal Kiranmai, Headmistress BV Sunanda attended the assembly. The principal entreated the students to be more watchful and whenever and wherever they come across instances of wastage of energy she asked the students to take an oath to address the issue. On this occasion, all the teachers and students made a resolution that they would be turning off the lights and fans whenever they are leaving their classrooms.
The assembly served the purpose of making the students think about energy conservation to meet some of the sustainable development goals.
