Pallavi Model School: Following safety norms reduces risk

Pallavi Model School Alwal celebrated World Safety Day virtually. Students of class II performed during the event on safety aspects. Principal Sunir Nagi spoke on the importance of various safety aspects in daily life and added that following safety rules is crucial in all facets of life.
She said that World Day for Safety and Health at Work is celebrated annually on April 28 to promote the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases globally. It is an essential resource for everyday life, needed by individuals and communities to realise their aspirations, she said Students spoke on safety rules to follow in kitchen, school, on the road, while playing on the ground and while riding cycle and playing outdoor games.
The Covid-19 pandemic has led governments, employers, workers and the general population to face unprecedented challenges in relation to the virus and the many effects it has had on the world of work. The World Day for Safety and Health at Work will focus on strategies to strengthen national occupational safety and health (OSH) systems to build resilience, in order to face crises now and in the future, drawing on lessons learned and experiences from the world of work.
