Pallavi Model School: Importance of mother language discussed

International Mother Language Day was celebrated at Pallavi Model School Bowenpally through a special assembly that saw the creative and entertaining presentation on the theme by the students. The students enlightened the audience about the history of Mother Language Day and discussed its importance.
The learners, as always, were brimming with ideas: We need to respect our mother tongue, it is who we are. At the same time, we need to respect the languages of others too. Everyone should have the right to speak their language. Languages should not become extinct —- were some of the opinions of the students, opined students.
The students were very good at identifying almost all the languages spoken in India and a few abroad. The assembly came to a close with the quote “For us Indians, English can never exude that magic of emotions which our mother tongue can.
