To make children understand the essence of vegetables that they are an essential component of a healthy diet for health, a mock Rythu Bazar was set up in the virtual classroom. Children looked adorable as they were dressed up as vegetable vendors.
The concept behind this activity was to teach young minds the importance of eating vegetables and fruits, buying and selling things and make them experience the ambience of the market, the school said. To make the activity more realistic, family members were involved in buying the vegetables and fruits from them.
As we are going through a tough phase of pandemic, children emphasized “ No mask, no vegetables” and regular sanitization. This helped them understand how to be hygienic when they go out for buying groceries.
Children showcased the use of a paper bag or cloth bag and requested others not to use plastic bags. It was an immense joy seeing the blooming buds enjoy and learn at the same time. Academic incharge of pre-primary Maninder Kaur appreciated the performance of kids at the event.
