Panchayat secretary caught taking Rs. 25,000 bribe in Khammam
The Anti-Corruption Bureau caught Banapuram gram panchayat secretary Thammisetty Suresh while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 25,000 near Mudigonda Rythu Vedika in Khammam district. He had allegedly demanded the money to grant building permission and allot a house number.

Khammam: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught a gram panchayat secretary in a bribery case in Mudigonda mandal of the district on Saturday.
According to officials, the accused, Thammisetty Suresh, panchayat secretary of Banapuram gram panchayat, demanded a bribe of Rs. 25,000 from the complainant to grant building permission and allot a house number to a sheet-roofed house being constructed by him on his house site in the village.
After the complainant approached the ACB, a trap was laid and the panchayat secretary was caught red-handed while accepting the money from the complainant near Mudigonda Rythu Vedika. The accused was arrested and will be produced before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Warangal.
