Depressing, initially, with the lockdown, everything around us came to a standstill, especially our school. It was the abode of fun, to meet with friends and the time to be yourself.
Not knowing what is happening and with the news in rounds about the Covid, its growing dark desires that none of us could put an end to – it was a thought I could not wrap my head around.
The schools went online, we were all apprehensive at the beginning and we didn’t think these classes would take off so well, thanks to my teachers’ efficacy, they did. In all of this chaos, I have learnt to explore other online tools for entertainment during short breaks.
Until there came a point that I can’t separate myself from this digital addiction. I have lost all my other interests too. No matter how much my folks warn me, I am unable to push myself back to reality.
I feel like I have been stuck in an abyss, waiting for some miracle to happen to help me find my way out. My plan, otherwise, for this summer was to learn to ride a bicycle, join guitar and go for extra maths classes. Alas!! History repeats itself, it’s lockdown again. My mother says, there’s always hope. And I am waiting for it to knock on my door soon…
