Hyderabad: Panic prevailed at a petrol station near YMCA in Narayanaguda after two auto-rickshaws reportedly caught fire on Thursday.
As per information available, an auto went up in flames while refuelling and the fire quickly spread to another vehicle parked adjacent to it.
Alert bunk staff acted swiftly, preventing the blaze from reaching fuel storage areas and averting a potential major disaster.
During the incident, a staff member suffered injuries while attempting to contain the fire, and was shifted to a nearby hospital. His condition is said to be stable.
Fire safety measures and the prompt response of the staff helped bring the situation under control. No further casualties were reported.
