Hyderabad: Panic prevailed at the crematorium in Beerappagadda, Uppal, on Thursday after the local people spotted a partially burnt body.

According to the police, the local people and the crematorium supervisors noticed a partially burnt body dumped into the premises and after local enquiries, informed the police about it.

The police then reached the crematorium and examined the dead body. It was later shifted to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary, where a post-mortem will be conducted by the forensic doctors to ascertain the cause of the death.

The police officials are examining the footage of the closed-circuit cameras installed around the crematorium to find out how the body reached the spot. Usually, the management of the crematorium is informed by a family if a body is to be cremated. However, suspicion arose as the supervisors were not informed and a partially burnt body was found in the crematorium. The police are probing the case from all angles.
