Parthiv and Padma clinch under-16 AITA National Series titles in Hyderabad

Parthiv Nallagundla of Telangana and Padma Rameshkumar of Karnataka won the boys’ and girls’ singles titles in the AITA National Series under-16 tennis tournament at Shamirpet, Hyderabad. Parthiv beat Satya Parthiv, while Padma overcame Aniha Gavinolla in the finals

Hyderabad: Parthiv Nallagundla of Telangana and Padma Rameshkumar of Karnataka won the boys’ and girls’ singles titles respectively in the AITA National Series (under-16) tennis tournament at the Sports Academy, Shamirpet, here on Saturday.

Parthiv defeated his statemate C Satya Parthiv 6-1, 6-0 in the boys’ final, while Padma scored a 6-3, 6-3 win against her teammate Aniha Gavinolla in the girls’ final.


The results: Finals: Boys:

Singles: Parthiv Nallagundla (TG) bt Satya Parthiv Chintagunta (TG) 6-1, 6-0.

Doubles: Chandra Kopparapu & Jeebu Siddharth (TG) bt Dhanush Billapura (Kar) & Parthiv Nallagundla (TG) 1-6, 6-2, 10-8.

Girls (Under-16): Singles: Padma Rameshkumar (Kar) bt Aniha Gavinolla (TG) 6-3, 6-3.

Doubles: Sanidya Karantoth & Anjhalle Meka (TG) bt Padma Rameshkumar (Kar) & Shazfa Sk (Odi) 4-6, 6-2, 11-9.
