Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan condemned the attack on Chilkur Balaji temple head preist CS Rangarajan and said it was not an attack on a individual but on the preservation of Dharma.
“It is an unfortunate incident and I strongly condemn the attack,” Pawan Kalyan said in a statement on Monday.
Rangarajan has been striving for preservation of Dharma, temples and traditions. The police should investigate the real motives behind the gang, which claimed to be part of Ramarajyam organization, he demanded.
“The persons operating the Ramarajyam organization should be punished strictly,” the Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister said.
The Telangana government should take up this case seriously. Rangarajan has been involved in temples protection, he said and directed the Jana Sena party Telangana unit to visit Chilkur Balaji temple and assure all support to Rangarajan.
