Peddapalli photographer bags two State awards on World Photography Day

Peddapalli-based rural photographer Erukulla Veeresham won two State-level awards in a competition organised by the I&PR Department on World Photography Day. His works on welfare schemes earned prizes in the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam and Rythu Bharosa categories

Peddapalli: Rural photographer Erukulla Veeresham from Peddapalli has won two State-level awards for his works highlighting the Telangana government’s welfare schemes.

His photographs were selected in the competition organised by the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department on the occasion of World Photography Day. The contest featured themes based on various welfare schemes.


One of Veeresham’s photos won the third prize in the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam category, while another bagged a consolation prize in the Rythu Bharosa category.

He received the awards from I&PR Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy at a programme held in Hyderabad on Tuesday as part of the World Photography Day celebrations.
