Peddapalli: A Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) officer died after his scooter rammed into a road divider while trying to avoid hitting a girl at 8 Incline Colony in Godavarikhani on Saturday.
According to locals, the deceased, Ramesh Babu, was working as an under manager at the Opencast-2 coal mine in the Ramagundam-III area. The accident occurred on Post Office Road, where he suffered a severe head injury and died on the spot. He is survived by his wife and daughter.
Upon receiving information, the police visited the scene, registered a case, and shifted the body to a hospital for postmortem examination.
