Pending irrigation projects to be completed in Karimnagar: Uttam
Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy said water for irrigation would be supplied to each and every acre by completing all pending irrigation projects on a war-footing in the erstwhile Karimnagar district.

Peddapalli: Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy said water for irrigation would be supplied to each and every acre by completing all pending irrigation projects on a war-footing in the erstwhile Karimnagar district.
Uttam Kumar Reddy along with other ministers D Sridhar Babu and Ponnam Prabhakar conducted a review meeting with Collectors and officials of concerned departments to discuss about the construction of pending irrigation projects, paddy procurement and custom milling in the old Karimnagar district at collectorate office here on Sunday.
Instructing officials to purchase fine variety paddy through paddy purchasing centres, the Minister wanted the authorities to ensure that private traders did not procure fine variety for less than Rs.2800 price. Informing to supply fine variety rice through fair price shops from next year, he said it required to procure 36 lakh metric tons of paddy for the purpose.
