Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy said water for irrigation would be supplied to each and every acre by completing all pending irrigation projects on a war-footing in the erstwhile Karimnagar district.
The initiative was aimed to provide a permanent solution to Hyderabad's drinking water woes and bring new agricultural areas under irrigation under these projects, he said.The Singur, Manjeera, and Nizam Sagar projects are all built on the Manjeera river, which is a tributary of the Godavari.
Ahead of his visit, Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Thursday had a review with officials of the Irrigation Department and representatives of L&T.
During the 100 days in the State, the Congress government was delivering good governance and streamlining the administration, which had lost track, he said.
