People have trouble downloading vaccine certificates, find errors in details

Hyderabad: The detection of Omicron variant and the possibility of resurgence of Covid infections has made health authorities in several States including Telangana to insist that people at public places carry vaccine certificates.
While such a move will go a long way in ensuring people are made aware about the importance of getting administered with Covid vaccine, the fact also remains that a large section of individuals who have received both the doses of vaccines are struggling either with error-filled vaccine certificates or are unable to download their certificates due to various technical reasons.
There are many persons who have received the two-doses of vaccine but their vaccine certificates show errors in their age, name and even wrong Aadhaar card number. And then there are others who are unable to download vaccine certificates from the Cowin website or facing problems with their Registered Mobile Number (RMN).
There are have been instances where people in Hyderabad and districts have received false messages on their RMN phones acknowledging that they have completed their second dose of Covid vaccine, although they were not administered. Some have taken both the doses but are unable to download from Cowin website or through the WhatsApp number 90131-51515.
What options do individuals facing such difficulties with their vaccine certificates have for redressal of their grievances?
“We have received several such complaints on difficulties in downloading vaccine certificates or about errors. From our side, teams can track RMN and Aadhaar card and if their are any errors, they can be resolved. I would urge people to call our call centre (104) or send the grievance directly to the WhatsApp number (9154170960) so that we can help them resolve such issues,” Director of Public Health (DPH) Dr G Srinivasa Rao said.
