People won’t believe in Revanth Reddy, says Harish Rao
Pointing out how Revanth Reddy was caught red-handed in cash for vote scandal as an aide of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, TS Finance Minister said that people would teach another lesson to Revanth
Siddipet: Finance Minister T Harish Rao said that Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president Nara Chandrababu Naidu was trying to influence the politics in Telangana by getting some positions to his political aides. He said that Naidu was trying to enter Telangana in the guise of the Congress party.
Saying that Telangana people would not believe in the words of newly appointed Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president A Revanth Reddy even if he changed his political party, the senior TRS leader said that Naidu had attempted to come to power in Telangana in 2018 by forging an unethical alliance with his arch-rival Congress party.
Addressing the people after participating in a host of programmes at Kallepally village in Bejjanki mandal on Friday, the Minister said that the people of Telangana had taught a lesson to Naidu and his ally Congress in the elections. Pointing out how Revanth Reddy was caught red-handed in cash for vote political scandal as an aide of TDP president Naidu in 2015, Rao said that people of Telangana would teach another lesson to PCC chief Revanth Reddy.
Stating that Congress and TDP ignored the development of Telangana for seven long decades, Harish said that the TRS government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao changed the face of the State within seven years. Elaborating various welfare schemes initiated by the TRS government for the benefit of the farmers, Rao said that the farmers used to make frequent rounds to banks to get loans when Congress and TDP were in power. However, he said that the TRS government was giving Rs 10,000 per acre Rythu Bandu to help the farmers to invest in cultivation.
Accusing the Centre of acting against the people’s interest, Rao said that the increase of diesel price by Rs 25 to Rs 26 in the last year has become a burden to farmers. He said that Telangana farmers could produce over 92 lakh metric tonnes of paddy this Yasangi proving the Andhra politicians wrong. The Minister said that the Andhra People used to say that Telangana farmers knew nothing about farming. However, the senior TRS leader said that the farmers of Telangana made the State proud by recording the highest paddy yield in the country. MLA Manakondur Rasamai Balakishan and others were present.
