Hyderabad: Vexed by the inaction of the State government, hundreds of local Post Graduate medical aspirants from Telangana have come together and approached the Telangana High Court over 85 percent local reservation in the Post Graduate (PG) Medical Management Quota (MQ1), for admissions in medical colleges across Telangana.
Last month, the High Court issued an interim stay on the reservation in the PG Medical Management Quota (MQ1) for admissions in medical colleges across Telangana.

“The State government has so far not taken any action on the issue of approaching the High Court again. We are already losing time because of the ongoing counseling for admissions into PG medical seats in Telangana. We are very disappointed at the way the State government has handled the issue,” representatives of Telangana PG Aspirants on Monday said.
A few weeks ago, the local PG aspirants from Telangana had written a letter and personally met senior health officials and the Health Minister to take up the initiative and put up a proper legal fight.
The Telangana High Court on November 21 had issued a ruling in which it temporarily halted the implementation of Government Orders 200 and 201, which were issued on November 3, 2025.
“Since time is of critical essence, we were expecting that the State government would make haste and file a powerful, factual counter-affidavit with the High Court. However, so far, there are no such indications from the State government,” PG aspirants from Hyderabad said.
