Karimnagar: Moved by the plight of Covid patients and the need for supply of oxygen for treatment of patients, Karimnagar-based Karwa family has donated 10 oxygen concentrators to Collector K Shashanka for use in government hospitals including Primary Health Centres and Covid care centres.
Philanthropists and industrialists Bhagwandas Karwa, Krishna Karwa and Karthik Karwa handed over 10 oxygen concentrators worth over Rs 7 lakhs sourced from China to the Collector at his camp office here on Tuesday. The philanthropists donated the oxygen concentrators in memory of eminent industrialist and social worker Kesarimal Karwa.
The Collector lauded the noble gesture of the Karwa family to help save the lives of Covid patients by donating necessary oxygen concentrators. “We will use the concentrators at the Covid care centres,” he said, and called upon other philanthropists to come forward and support the district administration in tackling the crisis arising out of the pandemic.
Bhagwandas Karwa said they donated 10 oxygen concentrators with five litre capacity each to help save the lives of patients suffering from the deadly virus. He hoped the oxygen concentrators would serve the needy during the pandemic. He also assured further support to the government in fighting the deadly virus.
Will set up oxygen plant in Dubbak Hospital: MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy
Siddipet: Medak MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy said the administration will set up an oxygen plant on the premises of the 100-bed Area Hospital in Dubbak town at a cost of Rs 75 lakhs.
In a press statement here on Tuesday, the MP said they were going to set up the Diageo Company plant with the help of industries which have promised to fund the project under Corporate Social Responsibility. With their effort, Reddy said that they can provide the Oxygen supply to 100 beds round the clock.
Saying that they were talking to complete the project on war footing, he said that he will always be there to support the people of Dubbak.
