Philanthropists donate funeral vehicle to Kolanoor village in Peddapalli

In Kolanoor village of Odela mandal, philanthropists have come together to donate a hearse (Vaikunta Ratham) for community use. The initiative, led by villager Kanneboina Odelu through Madhava Seva Samithi, saw contributions from 38 donors, including Dr Daram Raghu Raman of Daram Charitable Trust.

Peddapalli: Philanthropists have donated a hearse (Vaikunta Ratham) for use in Kolanoor village of Odela mandal.

A villager, Kanneboina Odelu, who got an idea of donating a funeral vehicle to the village, took the initiative to complete the project by forming Madhava Seva Samithi. A total of 38 philanthropists including senior physician and chairman of Daram Charitable Trust Dr Daram Raghu Raman had donated for the purchase of the funeral vehicle.

The vehicle was presented to villagers in a programme held in the village on Sunday. On the occasion, villagers felicitated all the 38 donors. Expressing happiness at participating in the funeral vehicle presentation programme, Raghu Raman said that the vehicle would help the villagers to perform final rites in a dignified manner.

Village sarpanch Palle Kanakaiah announced that if necessary, he would provide his own tractor to perform final rites.Vice-Sarpanch Pakala Sampath Reddy, Kalakonda Raji Reddy, Pakala Karunakar Reddy, Jangam Komuraiah and Venugopal Reddy and others participated in the programme.
